[16:29:31] <Solskogen> gromit: Not really, but if you use our tarball you can just follow ALARMs. But in a nutshell: partition and format the SDcard and mount it (it needs two partitions, /boot and /) and unpack our tarball into it. Put the sdcard in your Pi and enjoy.

[17:41:05] <Solskogen> dd if a wonderful tool. I love it - it's perfect for what it's meant to do. but for writing a (full) disk image to a device? Rather use cp - or if the image is compressed use zcat, bzcat or zstdcat or whatever.

[21:35:45] <solskogen|M> I have no idea where that came from, but almost every distribution is telling people to use it. BSDs included. cp has always worked, as far as I can tell.
