Creating a New ICA Connection

  1. Connection Name – defines the connection name being displayed.

  2. Group Name – defines the connection group name.

  3. Server – host name to be connected to.

  4. Username – user name.

  5. Password – user password.

  6. Domain – domain name.

  7. Use custom port – if checked, the field below defines a port to be used.

  8. Auto login – login to the remote system automatically.

  9. Proxy AutoConfig URL – URL to automatically configure the proxy server settings.

  10. Proxy Username – proxy server user name.

  11. Proxy Password – proxy server password.  

  12. Proxy Host – proxy server name or IP address.

  13. Proxy Bypass List – proxy bypass list.

  14. Proxy Timeout – number of seconds indicating the proxy server is unresponsive.  

  15. SSL Proxy Host – SSL proxy server.

  16. SSL Enable – use the SSL proxy server.

  17. Proxy Use Default – use the proxy server by default.

  1. Screen resolution – list of the predefined screen resolutions.

  2. Screen width – screen width in pixels.

  3. Screen height – screen height in pixels.

  4. Color depth – color depth.

  5. Custom geometry – if checked, the “Screen width” and “Screen height” fields will display, otherwise, the “Screen resolution” will display.

  6. Full screen – run in a full screen mode.

  7. Resize Session – change the image proportions when resizing the window.

  8. Control size – automatically change the session window size to fit the window size.Note: changing the session window size requires reestablishing the connection (due to the RDP protocol constraints).

  9. Allow Degraded Colors – allows the client to use sessions with a greater color depth than the display supports.

  10. Enable OSS – enables the server to create and use X pixmaps for off-screen drawing. Reduces bandwidth in 15 and 24-bit color at the expense of the X server memory and processor time.

  11. Enable Session Sharing Screen – enables session sharing when the new window would otherwise be displayed on a different screen of the X display

  12. Approximate Colors – use approximate colors from the default colormap rather than a private colormap and precise colors. Used only when the DesiredColor value is 2 (256 colors).

  13. Use SDLVB – use a Session-Depth Local Video Buffer (SDLVB) for 256-color connections. Values are: 0=never, 1=only if strictly necessary for the use of shared color, 2=when useful, with shared colors or when using a TrueColor visual, 3=always.

  14. Font Smoothing Type – enables font anti-aliasing on Windows servers. Values are: 0/1, no smoothing; 2 standard smoothing; 3 ClearType (horizontal sub-pixel) smoothing.

  15. Screen Percent – as an alternative to setting the window size directly, this sets it as a percentage of screen size.
